Overview
This beautiful Park has often been called a “little germ” and rightly so. It is only ½ an hour by tarmac road from Arusha town, the safari center of Northern Tanzania. With mountains, valleys, lakes, and small plains clothed in green, it has a wonderful feeling of peace and solitude. It is dominated by Mount Meru, which at 4,566 m (14,980 ft) is the 5rd highest free standing mountain in Africa. This second highest mountain in Tanzania offers unforgettable experience and serves as acclimatization refuge before climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.
Itinerary
1 Day Arusha National Park
After breakfast we drive to Arusha National Park with lunch boxes from Keys Hotel for a full day game drive.
Arusha National Park is one of the most interesting landscape spot in Tanzania. Located only 32 km from Arusha this park can be one-day excursion. Aside from the abundance of wildlife, flora and fauna most of it poorly known. There are three spectacular features; Momela lakes, Meru Crater, and the Ngurdoto Crater. Both Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru can be seen from the park when the weather is fine.
The park’s size is 137 sq. km. Take a picnic lunch and drive to our nearest National Park. See the Ngurdoto crater and Momella lakes. You may see giraffe, elephant, buffalo, warthog, olive, baboons, colobus monkeys, duikers and dik diks. You may be lucky enough to see thousands of flamingos on the big lake.
