Day 1: Stone Town Tour

Day 1: Stone Town Tour

Upon arrival in Zanzibar, you will be met by our driver and transfer to from Zanzibar airport to Stone Town hotel for check inn and refresh.
Located on the seafront in what was once the American Consulate, Tembo House is ideally located for exploring historic Stone Town. All rooms are ensuit and most have balconies overlooking either the beach,or the hotels courtyard pool.The hotel is decorated and furnished in Swahili style with antique furniture and ornaments.

Day 2: Stone Town and Spice Tour

Day 2: Stone Town and Spice Tour

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be picked by our guide for Stone Town City Tour. The tour takes around the historical culture and architectural important town of Zanzibar with a century history. It includes a visit to former slave market site, now stands as Anglican church built in 1871, town market, visit the Zanzibar Memorial Museum, House of Wonder built in 1883 (Beit-Al-Ajab), Old Arab Fort, Palace Museum, Old Indian dispensary (Cultural Center) to Maruhubi Palace Ruins via Living Stone House.

At 02:00pm you will take a trip to Spice Tour.On this tour you will see and taste the tropical fruits, spices plantation or plots in the island. A variety of spices plants used as ornament, medicines, flowers, fruits and another interesting flora can be seen during spice tour and visit to Kidichi bath built in 1850 by the first Sultan for his wife Sheharzad (grand daughter of Fateh Ali Shah of Persia) In the evening drive back to your hotel.

Day 3: Safari Blue

After breakfast you will be driving to fishing village at western part of Zanzibar where you ill catch locally constructed sailing dhows, fitted with outboard motors, marine VHF radios, life jackets and other security requirements.
The dhow anchors in a safe and shallow area to allow for snorkeling. High quality snorkeling material are provided, and a large range of sizes is available.

Lunch is served on a sand bank or on one of the many uninhabited islands in the region. A traditional dish of barbecued fish, rice, lentils and fish curry is serves. Chilled fruit juice, mineral water, and bottled soft drinks are available throughout the tour. After lunch, clients can sail on an outrigger canoe carved out of a single mango tree, snorkel and swim or just relax. Return to Fumba is by sail, wind permitting, and clients arrive back at their hotel at about 1730 hrs.

Day 4: Prison Island

The 30-minute boat ride from Stone Town soon leaves behind the narrow streets of the old city, bringing you to the shores of one of Africa’s more notorious islands.
Once on Changuu Island, your guide will explain the colorful history of the area, including the prison building – which still stands. Today the island is home to some of Zanzibar’s oldest residents – descendants of

the Aldabra giant tortoises that were a gift to the people of Zanzibar from the Seychelles government; some of them are rumored to have reached over a hundred years old. Look a little harder and you may also spot butterflies, bats and even the very shy duiker.

The island is fringed with coral reefs and your guide will make sure you have snorkeling equipment so you can potter around in the shallows, marveling at the colorful marine life, or simply soak up the sun on the soft sands surrounding the island. In the evening drive to Nungwi.

Day 5: Explore Zanzibar beach full day

After breakfast you will be met by a Zanzibar Watersport representative at 8:20am and get a chance to go out for some diving and snorkeling to see the incredible coral reefs teeming with exotic fish and perhaps the odd dolphin in the azure waters. Others can relax around the pool and take walks along the beach and get to know the area
Other activities in or above the water include fishing, windsurfing or various boat trips. Traditional dhow cruises are offered by the locals and are a great way to see the local areas and you can arrange for a sunset cruise or enjoy from the restaurant at the hotel.

Day 6: Mnemba Island

Day 6: Mnemba Island

After breakfast divers and snorkelers take a ¾ day out to Mnemba Island (including lunch)This is one of our must-do activities that you will not want to miss while you are in Zanzibar. The tiny but exceptional Mnemba reef offers indeed some of the best and most spectacular spots in the whole Archipelago, if not in East Africa. On this trip, you might (85% chance) see dolphins while cruising from Nungwi to Mnemba, you will stop for a while and you can enjoy seeing get a stop to see the dolphins swimming, and a chance to take photos. Also, there is a Sandbank beside Mnemba Island, with a chance to get out there after snorkeling when it is low tides. Mnemba is well known for the excellent clarity of its waters (for this area of the Indian Ocean) and the unusually prolific and diverse corals and tropical marine life where you can able to see a lot of colorful fishes while snorkeling. Some of the species that you can see at Mnemba reef include; Angel Fish, Blue Spotted Rays, Black Snappers, Groupers, Red Tooth Triggers, Flounder, Octopuses, Leaf Fish, Scorpion Fish, Stone Fish, Frog Fish and lots of Trevallies.
For the evening enjoy a sunset cruise or hang out at the restaurant for some great sunset views.

Day 7: Departure

After breakfast, depend on your flight time you will first stay at the beach or moving around for short tour. Later returns to the hotel pack your belongings ready for transfer to the Airport for flight back home, or extension to another safari destination.
