Cane Milling
Tanganyika Sugar Planting (TPC) is a milling operation sources sugarcane exclusively from their own fields. Since 2013, they have continuously invested in their crushing capacity and in factory efficiency. Their sugar production have risen from one year to another.
Energy and Sugar By-Products
TPC also operates a power plant that supplies steam and electricity to their factory and their extensive field irrigation network. Surplus energy is exported to the Tanzanian national grid. TPC is currently working on improving the efficiency of their power plant, exploring solar energy production and experimenting with producing power from biomass grown on marginal parts of their land.
This tour has options for visiting a swimming pool, tennis courts, the golf course, and a great restaurant at the end of your trip.

Energy and Sugar By-Products
After breakfast at 0800 a.m. you will start your bike ride from Keys Hotel to TPC (21 Km). You will cycle south through the sugar cane fields towards TPC Club. Lunch will be taken at TPC restaurant. After lunch enjoy a relaxing afternoon at TPC club before riding for another 21km back to Keys Hotels.
