Tour Details

After breakfast drive to Arusha airport to catch flight to Serengeti National Park. You will be picked up by your safari driver guide who will welcome you for the Tanzanian safari and proceed to your lodge in Serengeti national park for check in at the lodge. This is one of the most spectacular parks in the world. The name Serengeti derives from the Maasai Language “siringet” meaning “endless plains”. Enjoy afternoon game drive in this vast reserve teeming with thousands of wildlife. Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge is an award-winning gem of a hotel in one of the most beautiful settings in Tanzania. Full day in Serengeti with morning and afternoon game drives in the park. Every year, more than a million wildebeest travel in long caravan across the plains of the mighty Serengeti all in search of better feeding grounds, followed by a large variety of other animals. Not far behind follows hungry lions, cheetahs and hyenas. Other predators such as leopards, several cats and jackals watch the wandering game with interest, while elephants, rhinos and buffaloes continue their grazing. The Serengeti National Park in Tanzania was established in 1952. It is home to the greatest wildlife spectacle on earth, the great migration of wildebeest and zebras. The resident population of lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, and birds is also impressive. There is a wide variety of accommodation available, from luxury lodges to mobile camps. The parks covers 5,700 sq miles, (14,763 sq km), it’s larger than Connecticut, with at most a couple of hundred vehicles driving around. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge(FB)

Our guide will pick you from your camp / lodge early in the morning (4am -5am) to arrive at the launch area by approximately 6am, giving you enough time to enjoy some hot Tanzanian coffee with homemade cookies. Take off is at about 6:30am subject to weather. After you elevate from the ground, you most probably will enjoy a great African sunrise (depending on weather). During the flight you will have a bird’s eye uninterrupted view of the vast plains of Serengeti and the pilot will try to spot wildlife for you and lower the balloon for better viewing. The flight usually lasts 1 hour +/- 15mins in the air, depending on the weather. You can still enjoy hot coffee during the flight. Once you disembark, you will enjoy a champagne celebration with a little history on how the tradition came to be. After this you will be driven to our bush breakfast area, warmly welcomed to enjoy a scrumptious plated breakfast. After your breakfast, you will be issued with your certificates and then lead back to the Visitors’ Centre to meet your guide to continue with your safari. Early in the morning after breakfast, leave Serengeti and head to the Ngorongoro crater which is often referred to by many as the Eden of Africa because of its great scenery and abundance of wildlife. You will descend about 600 meters into the crater where you will spot wildlife species like lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos, rhinos, hyenas, jackals, hippos, zebras and herds of wildebeests. You will also see attractions such as Lake Magadi which has a variety of birds such as flamingos as well as other wildlife species grazing in the nearby plains. Kitela Lodge rises up on the hillside of a valley with beautiful views of a coffee plantation and a waterfall within the incredible highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. In the setting of the majestic mountains, this exclusive hotel is a haven of peace and comfort with all the attentions and the luxury of a traditional country villa. After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park for full day game drive then drive to Arusha. Tarangire National Park derives its name from the Tarangire River that rises in the highlands of central Tanzania and winds its way through the game sanctuary. The river irresistibly lures the herds of plains migrants from the parched surrounding area to its shrunken - but permanent - brackish waters during dry season. Animals comes by thousands from as far north as the shores of Lake Natron, dramatically swelling the resident population with wildebeest, zebras, elands, elephants, hartebeests, buffalos and fringe-eared Oryx. This spectacular hotel is located between the Serengeti and Kilimanjaro National Parks, opening out onto all of Tanzania’s majestic natural beauty.
