6 Days Mount Meru Climbing
Mount Meru Climb is the best for acclimatization prior to Mount Kilimanjaro climbing; The Mountain is the third highest peak in Africa and is the second highest mountain in Tanzania at 4,566 mt.
Why Mount Meru
Mount Meru is the ideal mountain for acclimatization before climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. Rising to 4,566 meters (14,980 ft), it is the third-highest peak in Africa and the second-highest mountain in Tanzania.
This climb allows the body to adjust naturally to altitude while enjoying spectacular scenery, rich vegetation, and abundant wildlife. The route passes through Arusha National Park, where giraffes, buffaloes, monkeys, and diverse birdlife are often seen. Compared to Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru is quieter, making it an excellent preparation climb that builds confidence, endurance, and altitude tolerance.
Throughout the trek, our professional mountain guides will set a slow, steady pace to support acclimatization.
Armed park rangers accompany the group at all times to ensure safety and security. Guides carefully choose scenic rest points where clients enjoy nuts, snacks, chocolates, biscuits, and drinks during the hike.
