1 Day Chemka Hot Spring

Chemka hot spring is among the best natural water springs found in the Kilimanjaro. There is not much to explore. Just be ready to spend the day swimming in the Chemka natural hot spring. Pick up from Keys Hotel Moshi at around 08:30am and drive to small town called Bomang’ombe. Then take the dust road and drive for about 30 minutes through the local villages.

 The whole journey will take about 1 hour. Once approaching the hot spring you will also see some onion farms. You are now at Chemka – hot spring surrounded by a beautiful forest. Take a swim in the blue water, fresh water from the sources of Mt. Kilimanjaro springs. The water is at about the perfect temperature, warmed by a natural hot spring. The pond can be very deep, in some places up to 8 meters, but the water is so clear that you can see right to the bottom. A little oasis with little fish that enjoying eating your dead skin off your feet. There are dragonflies and butterflies racing with grace over the glistening water. Enjoy the fun too of the rope to swing into the water. Enjoy the amazing scenery of palm trees hanging over the clear blue tranquil water Enjoy picnic lunch in the shade of the trees. After the tour drive you go back to Keys Hotel.
