Ngorongoro Crater
Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979, the Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa’s most remarkable natural wonders. Covering 8,292 sq. km, it is often called “Africa’s Garden of Eden” due to its rich landscapes and abundant wildlife. The crater is home to about 25,000 animals, including four of the Big Five. It is also one of the best places to see critically endangered species like black rhinos, golden cats, and wild hunting dogs. The area is known for its resident Maasai lions and is especially magical during the calving season, when thousands of wildebeest are born.

Best Time To Visit
Wildlife is visible all year round. The dry season (June–September) makes it easier to spot animals, as grasses are shorter. The wet season (November–May) brings lush, green scenery and dramatic landscapes.
