Tarangire is one of the finest national parks in northern Tanzania, named after the Tarangire River which runs through it. The park’s landscape is characterized by rolling hills, acacia woodlands, majestic baobab trees, and seasonal swamps. The Tarangire River, being the only permanent water source in the park, attracts a large concentration of wildlife, especially during the dry season.

Rare species such as the greater kudu, fringed-eared oryx, and ashy starling are also found here.
