Lake Manyara National Park
Lake Manyara National Park is a lush green paradise, famous for its unique mix of landscapes and wildlife. It is home to groundwater forests filled with tall trees, vast soda lakes with thousands of pink flamingos, and dramatic cliffs of the Rift Valley Escarpment. Visitors may also see tree-climbing lions, large troops of baboons, blue monkeys, hippos, and many water birds. The park, which covers 648.7 sq. km, is named after the Euphorbia tirucalli plant, known as Emanyara in the Maasai language.

Best Time To Visit
Wildlife viewing is good throughout the year, but the best time is the dry season (June to October). For beautiful scenery, visit during the wet season (November to May), when the forest is green and waterfalls flow from the escarpment.
