Zanzibar is a Tanzanian archipelago off the coast of East Africa. On its main island, (Unguja), familiarly called Zanzibar, Stone Town, a historic trade center with Swahili and Islamic influences, its winding lanes present minarets, carved doorways and 19th-century landmarks such as the House of Wonders, a former sultan’s palace is another attraction bringing many tourists to Tanzania. The northern villages Nungwi and Kendwa have wide beaches lined with hotels.
The months from June to October are the best times to go to Zanzibar as the heavy rains have cleared. These weather conditions are perfect for long days, relaxing in the sun and exploring the wonderful sights of the 'Spice Island'
